Welcome to our Society

We are two Groups of genealogists/historians from Stratford and Inglewood, New Zealand, who have combined into one Society. We are an Incorporated Charity; we draw financial support from donations from the enquiring public and fundraising, and we are generously supported by grants from financial institutions such as the TSB Community Trust and the Taranaki Electricity Trust.

Inglewood District

The Inglewood Family History Group covers the Inglewood district, including Inglewood, Egmont Village, Kaimiro, Norfolk, Tariki, Kaimata, Ratapiko, Tarata and Purangi.

The Inglewood Group meets at the Town Library.

Monday Morning 10 a.m. – 12 noon.

Friday Morning 10 a.m. – 12 noon (except first Friday of each month).

Stratford District

The Stratford Family History group covers the Stratford District including Stratford, from Awatuna to Tangarakau and from Tariki to Te Roti. The Stratford Group was established in 1986 and operated as Stratford Branch of New Zealand Society of Genealogists until August 2017.
